I gave up on the search for a knee mill in my meager price range today and ordered a grizzly g0704 mill . I have spent enough time and effort looking at used mills to learn that anything in my price range is almost without fail worn out or with serious issues . So a small mill/drill it is for now , in the end it wasn't a real hard choice .

The Grizzly G0704 is a clone of the BF-20, but that doesn't mean the stuff is compatible. Just like Bridgeport clones don't all use compatible components to real Bridgeports. What's your budget on this? I realize size/space constraints might be an issue for you, but the best advice is always build/buy the biggest machine you can afford.

Some folks seem to make a hobby of the mill conversion process. I want to make parts for my helicopter. Grizzly and Automation Technologies were outstanding.
